The Sustainable Development Fund (SDF 2024) is a small amount grant funded by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Kiribati. SDF is a direct financial aid to the recipient provided by the Chinese Embassy, which focuses on sustainable development, welfare increase and livelihood improvement. Applications are open to the registered organization from March 21th till April 21th , and the application forms shall be submitted in the form of hard copies to the Chinese Embassy office (lagoon side).

For the approved project, an MOU may be signed between the applicant, the Embassy and related parties. The Embassy will provide funding in cheque to approved projects of a registered organization in one-off payment or by installments.
